The premonition was real. So is the work.
Everything Shifted
In September 2007, Brett Casper was in Bangkok with a ticket to Phuket.
Before leaving NYC, something arrived - not a thought, not anxiety, not the ordinary noise of a busy mind. A knowing. Clear and specific. Don't get on a plane. He took the first two legs anyway. The day before the final leg he canceled the ticket. He felt sheepish about it and didn't wish to take the bus. But he did. He boarded the bus, stored his bag above him, sat down and turned on the TV.
The screen was showing live footage from Phuket International Airport. One-Two-Go Flight 269 - the flight he had just canceled - had attempted a landing in a thunderstorm and caught fire on impact. He was watching it happen as it happened. Eighty-nine people died.
That is not a metaphor. That is what happened.
It was the moment that ended the argument about whether higher consciousness is real. Not as a philosophy. As a documented, verifiable event. The signal had come through precisely when it mattered most - and it had done so through a nervous system that, at the time, he had no framework for understanding.
The next fifteen years were the work of building that framework.

Before that morning in Bangkok, Brett Casper was doing what most high-performers do. Successfully, and at considerable cost.
He had built a kombucha and wellness brand from a Brooklyn kitchen experiment into an internationally recognised operation, featured in Food & Wine, Lifestyle Asia, and ELLE Decor. He was in the rooms - Michelin-starred kitchens, global fashion houses, luxury resorts across Asia. He had the access, the network, the forward momentum.
He was also chronically misaligned. Networking for status instead of sovereignty. Chasing the next thing instead of asking whether the thing was worth chasing. The gap between the life performing well and the life actually worth living was widening in a way he was too busy to examine directly.
His first book, The Political Gut: Reset Your Reality - reviewed by Publishers Weekly as "a no-holds-barred look into the human condition" - emerged from the early stages of that examination. It documented the relationship between gut health, food science, and decision-making quality: specifically, how the body's primary intelligence system gets manipulated by the processed food industry and cultural programming before most people have any idea it's happening. The research established what became his working method. Rigorous investigation. No reverence for the conventional wisdom it contradicts.
The premonition had already told him something the research was confirming from a different direction: the body knows things the mind hasn't caught up with yet. The question was how to make that intelligence consistently accessible - not just in moments of emergency, but as a daily operational reality.
The answer required going further than most systems were willing to go.
Brett trained as a breathwork facilitator in direct lineage from Stanislav Grof - the psychiatrist whose forty years of research into non-ordinary states of consciousness established the cartography that serious practice still navigates by. His teacher worked directly with Grof before developing Neurodynamic Breathwork®. That lineage is not incidental to the Field Guide. It is the spine of it.
The frameworks that emerged from that training and research - the Decision Dial, the Root Brain System, the Base Hum Activation, the Shadow Spine - are not repackaged ideas. They are instruments built through years of facilitation practice, tested against what actually works in the body rather than what sounds correct on a page. The distinction matters.
This work has been brought into rooms that conventional self-help rarely reaches. High-performance executives. Founders. Creative directors at the top of their field. The people in those rooms are not broken. They are successful by every external measure and quietly aware that something fundamental is missing. Not motivation. Not information.
The gap between knowing and being.
That gap is not exclusive to the high-performer. It is a gap most people who are paying attention eventually encounter. The New Earth Field Guide exists because the knowledge required to close it should not require a coaching budget to access.

The work is real. So is the map.
Brett Casper is not a guru. He is not enlightened in any final sense of the word. He is someone who has done a significant amount of the work described in the Field Guide, made most of the mistakes, and had the presence of mind to leave accurate directions.
The premonition was real. The framework for understanding it took twenty years to build. You have it now in three volumes.
Where to go from here.
The Satellite Guides — standalone companions that go deeper into specific territory. Shadow work and the inner child. Love and attachment. Water, light, synchronicity, chakra intelligence, resonance, daily practice. Each one is its own complete field guide for a single subject. Available separately after the main volumes.
Breathwork — extended breathwork in the Grof lineage, delivered privately or in group format. For those who want the live, embodied experience of what the Field Guide describes on the page. Not required. For some people, necessary.
1:1 Work — direct access. For the person who has read the Field Guide and wants to go further with support. Application only.
